Our over twenty years of real world experience working in UNIX environments uniquely qualifies us to be your UNIX partner.  We've trained and consulted with over fifty (primarily Fortune 500) companies in the U.S. and Canada.  We've seen every conceivable UNIX network, cluster, and environment that you can imagine.  We've maintained and administered AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, and many various Linux distributions (also, some UNIX variants you've probably never heard of.)  We've written systems in UNIX from COBOL (ugh) to C++ (ahh) to Perl (cool).  We've egrepped and sedded and awked our way through more scripts than you can imagine.  We've vi'd and Perl'd and SQL'd and Oracle'd until our fingers bled.  And still, WE LOVE IT!

For over fifteen years we've traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada providing on-site technical training in UNIX and Linux technologies.  We view formal classes as an absolutely essential ingredient for improving your staff's UNIX fundamentals, scripting, and programming skills.  We design our classes to be fun, rewarding, and, above all else, effective.  Our goal is to leave your organization's UNIX systems in highly capable hands.

Translating theory into reality can sometimes be a daunting task.  Turning specifications into plans, and, then, into actions is more than some technicians can absorb.  We've been in the UNIX trenches for many years and know what to look for and what to expect.  

We utilize our vast experience to uncover the right tools for solving complex UNIX issues.  We mentor your technicians to insure they understand why certain components are put in place and how to maintain them.  We want YOUR employees to be able to maintain YOUR systems when we leave.

We work strictly by contract.  We don't impose the traditional employee overhead.  We carry our own liability insurance.  And, most importantly, although we will always be a phone call away, we leave when you are finished with us. 

Our technical background started many years ago as development specialists.  We've written systems in COBOL, C++, Perl, and other languages.  Sometimes, you just need a program modification.  Sometimes you just need a programmer for a specific project.  And sometimes, you need a developer to fill in a gap while looking for a permanent employee.  We can fill that need. 

We are experts at designing and developing and maintaining procedural  and object based applications.  We develop objects in C++ and Perl based on your specifications.  If your development world has a need outside of COBOL, C++ (or C), Perl, or shell scripting, we may not be the right company to use.  If that's the case, we'll help you find the right company.
